(145-1) “Soror… adivua nos….”

“To disobey God, our Lord on the Throne, is to tarnish one’s Soul - He made the Laws of our lands for us to abide by, so that no harm may befall our Souls which are His to give to us and His to take away. Man taints his Soul by going against God - he sullies the gift God gave him when he violates the Law God gave to the world. Such transgressions are borne of the flesh, which is earthly and prone to Sin, as it is not of God. Where the flesh is weak and fails God, it must be set back on the righteous path by way of force. For pain of the flesh cleanses the Soul of the evils etched into it by the Sins of the flesh, so that it may return to God unblemished and pure.”

- Lord Cardinal Madredeus, Excerpt from “Letter to the Parish of Dolorsantos” (transcribed by the hand of XVII, a Branded scribe of 37 years)
